Knowledge is key
For this week's blog I'm going to talk about the "must knows" before you go. Just a few tips and tricks on things that will help you to prepare and make the holiday the best it can be.
One of the top tips I would advise, to prepare for this kind of holiday, would be to go out on plenty of walks. Get yourself active so it's not a shock to the system when you are walking over 30,000 steps a day (yes really!). Disney is a big place and you will be walking everywhere in the parks from attraction to attraction. Don't let this scare you, as once you are there you'll not even realise how much walking you're doing. By getting yourself ready it means you will be able to visit your favourite attractions more than once. Following on from this, I would advise to break in any new footwear that you've bought for the trip. The last thing you want is blisters or foot ache on your holiday.
Disney is a busy place and can be very crowded, especially during holiday seasons. Although no matter when you plan to travel, you will undoubtably experience busy days whilst at the parks. A website called 'touringplans.com' is very helpful when looking at crowd levels. By looking at this website it will give you an idea of which park will have the least queues or waiting times. It uses a 1 to 10 scale, 1 being least crowded and 10 being the most crowded. I find this very useful when planning my holiday and getting an idea of crowd levels.
Whilst on Disney property you will have access to free WIFI. This means you can FaceTime your friends and family whilst at the parks. Although it has to be said, at times it isn't the quickest and can buffer.
The last thing I will add this week is to make sure that you have a lot of storage on your phone and camera as you will want to record it all. Although when taking videos and pictures please be aware of others around you, it isn't pleasant being on a ride or being at a show and a flash goes off around you. It is also notable that selfie-sticks are banned in all of the Disney parks.
