Holidays are coming

Magic Kingdom has been transformed into a Winter Wonderland covered with all of the holiday festivities including twinkling lights, toy soldiers, beautiful red poinsettias, wreaths and of course, the beautiful 65-foot Christmas tree in Town Square. The Christmas cheer began at Walt Disney World on November 6th and will continue right through to December 30th. 

Santa Claus will still be coming to town and making appearances in the Disney parks with special help from his stand-in, Santa Goofy. He will be in the parks for everyone to see from November to the end of December. While stage shows, parades and fireworks are unable to take place due to new health and safety measures, it has been said to keep a close eye for new character experiences in character cavalcades at Magic Kingdom. 

Unscheduled character cavalcades will take place with all the Disney characters dressed for the holidays alongside gingerbread men, elves and reindeer. The new holiday cavalcades are Mickey's Holiday Cavalcade, Santa's Christmas Cavalcades, Goofy's Scrumptious Cavalcades and Holiday Trolley. The cavalcades feature some of the floats that would normally be seen in "Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas Parade".

Due to COVID-19, the usual photo opportunities with characters are unable to take place. However, characters have been seen throughout the parks at a safe distance such as the Muppets at Liberty Square, Jiminy Cricket on the balcony of Pinocchio's Village Haus, Santa Stitch on the stage in Tomorrowland and The Country Bears with Chip 'N' Dale at the Country Bear Jamboree rooftops. 

In addition to this, Disney have released their new Christmas advert with Make-A-Wish, the three minute animated short entitled "From Our Family To Yours". The animated short showcases festive traditions and shared experiences that connect generations making lifelong memories. I will add the link below to the advert.
